Cynthia Andersen Ford, RA, LEED GA received her Bachelor of Science and Masters degrees in Architecture from the University of Maryland, where she was awarded the Dean's Scholarship for summer study in Paris France. She is a registered architect in Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Texas. As a former member of the American Institute of Architects, she has served as treasurer on the board of the Delaware chapter of the AIA and has taught as an adjunct professor at the Delaware College of Art and Design. She served on the Women Build committee for the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity. She has worked for several prominent firms and gained extensive experience on various building commissions ranging from large commercial and institutional buildings to private residences, many of which have gained critical recognition for design excellence. In 2007 she began her private practice in an effort to focus on her favorite aspect of architecture: private residential design.
